STACHE RIDERS

Wanna be part of the Wall of Fame?

Join us in the next upcoming event and prove to be a true petrol head that deserves a spot in the Stache Wall of Fame.

ALEXANDRE AMORIM

A guy that thinks about cars 24 Hours of Le Mans a day, this rider rather cut his beard off than perish to drive boring cars. A “bon vivent” with the passion for the old heritage, he’s the WildRider with more cars per centimeter of dick (is it that small or does he have that many cars?! Take your own conclusions!)

A gifted talented speaker, you will never be caught him out of the right words, but when it comes to fuel, probabilities says that he will most likely run out of gas. Just in case, bring an extra jerrycan if you’re riding along.

Always up to go for a rust ride, when he’s not burning fuel, he’s usually found out sitting at Stache headquarters mancave, smoking the vibes of some vintage style blues song.

PEDRO VIEIRA

A “shark tank” in the outside but a wild hog on the inside, sums up a WildRider hard to found without a nice shirt and fancy shoes, even if there’s mud on the equation. After graduating architecture and civil engineering, now at Stache academy, he’s looking to master rust matters.

Loves photography, trips and food, so if you want to see eyes of true happiness, serve him a steak roasted and a car rusted.

Founder of Wallnut, he’s an entrepreneur but don’t get this guy wrong, he’s a pure altruist. He only find value in experiences, sensations and true bonds. Stache approves everyone that like him, live the Dire Staits way: “Money for nothing, chicks for free”.

BRUNO SILVA

A nice and quite guy at first glance, but you only get to know him once he is behind a wheel. Going from sheep to wolf as fast as the ’67 Mustang carburates at 500hp will get you thinking “well, that escalated quickly”.

Being Stache official photographer he’s not prized with naked models (volunteers accepted), but for a petrolhead, getting to feel and capture all the cars twists and turns is the way to get the cut!

He likes his cars as clean as your church shoes and now with his mint restored unicorn he’ve choosen a celibacy life without burnouts and donouts. Even so, when the moment asks for it, this wolf jumps the fence and we love to see him go berserk sideways.

SERGIO PINHO

Designer and creative director at Stache, this fella breath the Stache fundamentals, like the passion for rusty rides.

He denied a chance to trade his beloved scrap condition Toyota for a new automobile, choosing the rust path and stayed truth with it. Not an hipster, but an hiluxter for sure.

Always up to ride along friends, he transforms into a natural dancer after the third drink. Although being known for always having pristine clean wheels, all goes to waste as soon as his sight foresees a perfect dirt spot for donuts.

Dust do it!

JOÃO “PATCHON” BORGES

His presence alone is a guarantee that there won’t be a dull moment.

With the looks of a 2D cartoon, this guy is effortlessly funny and will make you laugh your ass off, always coming up with a new catch phrase.

For him, life is measured in gallons and he made a notable endurance reputation at the bar balcony and on the road.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, because he’ll always be the last man standing.

ANTÓNIO “TONO” MARTINS

This man found out some weird kind of satisfaction in getting him and his rides into trouble. Loves the guilty pleasure of night riding alone, fact that earned him enviable manly honors of being stuck.

Strangely, all of his cars and bikes seems to have a “Cinderella” syndrome, because all of them crack to no good after the midnight, leaving him barefooted in the middle of nowhere.

He’s philosophy on life?! “I also like to live dangerously”.

PEDRO LOPES

Founder of InfiniteBook, this creative entrepreneur is not afraid of making any kind of jokes, including political incorrect one’s, and we thank him for that.

Mechanical problems are part of the daily life of this WildRider. From having no whippers in the middle of a storm, to having flames bursting out from the engine bay while driving, fits the Stache way to spice things in life and this rider sunk that in better than no one!

Although the adversities, he always keeps his rider spirit like his books… infinite!

LUCIANO ALMEIDA

Always pulling out the right joke at the right time, he’s everything a WildRider should be!

With a full portfolio of survival instincts and equipped to the teeth with all sort of gadgets you can’t even imagine, this flashy guy looks like of what would happen if Beer Grills and Jake Ma took on the same rusted Fake Taxi.

More than no one else, he lives and feels the rust life motto, making him a strong Stache patriotist.

HUGO AROIL

While other may tremble with the idea of entering survival mode on a WildRide, he signed in as soon has he heard about the event, only one week before it! He’s fearless and proved to deserve the 2019 WildRider of the year title.

He also earned the title “father of them all”, by standing tuff and taking care of fallen soldiers. Damm you bourbon!!

Always thinking of others before him, he has strong core values.

All for one, and Hugo for All!

PEDRO “BOSS” ALMEIDA

This guy is a sleeper in a double sense.

Literally, he loves a good passenger seat to sleep along the road in summer days. Figuratively, he’s like those American old cars, the sleepers: stock in the outside, but heavy pumped under the wood!

Maybe his head just lives in another time zone, but one thing is sure: when he kicks into the party, you better watch your head because sparks will go flying! He party so hard, that even sleeping his head is unable to stop bouncing.

Like sleeping beauty, his vulnerability is an apple. Well… let’s say an apple in the shape of a barrel of cider.

JOÃO “TSUNAMI” GOMES

In what concerns of Stache attitude, this guy is a natural! Born with it! Being Stache official barber is a true glorious burden, but he’s always ready to give a trim or spin the rim. Some say he parks his car in the garage and leave it turned on, so that he always be ready to go for a ride.

This RC Racing international champion, never rides solo. The passenger seat his the kennel for his beloved doggo, “Tucha”. Mechanical skilled and passionate about upgrading car parts, he likes his cars as modded as Caitlyn Jenner.

Always there and ready to go for a rescue of a stranded friend, his way of living is ruled by the standards of “top xuxas megalife”.

DAVID “REX” FERREIRA

Despite having as much blue screen moments as a Pentium III, this is the guy you can rely on when you want a job done.

Problem solving is his quirk. You would be surprise of the capabilities this folk can do with a basic set of tools. If you add raw power strength to that, you have a man that can stand a WildRide with Tuk-tuk vehicle material!

Women can’t help but fall for this true gallant, that pleases them with duct tape and WD-40.

MICHAEL “MIKE” FERREIRA

Passionate about old heritage, he’s on a quest to gather all past car family memorabilia, and he already found and acquired some pretty badass crown jewellery!

Being a low profile dude is no easy task when you show up with Stache overalls and driving BMW’s holy grail, the M3 E30 Sport Evolution.

He enjoys snacks and cruise riding. You will know shit just got real when you’ll see potato chips come out flying of the car window, with him go sideways.

JEAN TORRES

With an Italian car, Portuguese accent and Brazilian vibe and energy, this guy is always ready to rumble.

He found his natural habitat wherever there’s music and friends.

Relaxed style and cap is his signature dress code. His touch and capabilities with girls make him the perfect wingman to make you go from dumped to “Oh yes baby, yes!”.

MANCINNI

Any task is no challenge for this dilettante. If anything can be made by human hands, then he can do it too.

On the surface, a fierce samurai glare is patent of his presence. Inside he’s a kind hearted fella, so don’t step back because the reason why he’s always wielding a knife is just for barbecue sake.

His 24/7 routine is made by a recipe that mixes beer, “picanha” and trap music.

JOSÉ “ZÉ” SIMÕES (Junior & Senior)

An already mythical WildRide duo that always team up together. Both usually presenting shirtless, they may look like doppelgängers, but in fact they are dub old bangers, father and son.

They step on Stache by chance when they saw the WildRide classic car caravan and immediately bought two overalls and suit up for the cause. They prove to be up to the challenge when they went midnight fishing and brought a bag full of shrink like hunt, presenting a memorable banquet for all WildRiders.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how lucky is Zé father to have a son that follows his rust footsteps and how lucky his Zé son to have this incredible legacy.

TUCHA

Tucha is a special dog lady that loves phony Tiffany’s collars. She’s anything but an underdog, since being Stache’s official mascot grants royal previleges.
With a refined taste, her nutrition is exclusively based on a diet of the best grilled barbecue meat.

When she’s not playing Bridge with other high class doggos, she enjoys being cruised along national roads by her personal chauffeur, João “Tsunami” Gomes, while sitting confortably on a reclined car back seat.

You’ll have to conquer her thrust to be able to old her in your arms. So, if you like to play guitar with all the five fingers, you better be careful while approaching Her Majesty.

JACQUELINE, THE INFLATABLE LOVER

Always silent and showing her attributes, she’s everything a man would ever want, a perfect muse for any WildRider. She guilty pleasures honey cocktails, but always toss off the “tails”.

Once your eyes met each other, this beauty will take your heart and you’ll go from blown to blow! She’s literally breath taking!! She might be 80% air and 20% plastic, but she’s 100% love.

Loves to ride in good old fashion rust with her head feeling the wind, while wavering to local people. In a journey from “A” to “B”, in Jacqueline’s alphabet what comes in the middle of that is “the D”.

TOMÁS HENRIQUES

Rome wasn’t build in a day neither do patina, and likewise, it takes time for someone to find his inner rust side. But not Tomás, who born as a natural WildRider. He completely stole the show with a brilliant performance and a spot-on spirit. He doesn’t hide his crush on Jacqueline, who has a captive spot on his passenger seat.

By trading the comfort of a brand new plastic Mercedes for the cosiness of a good old fashion rusted Opel Corsa, were he crammed a full trunk sound system set that made Need For Speed Underground 2 blush, Tomás showed to have an abnormal understanding of what is worthwhile in life.

Money can’t buy you happiness, but $2222 can buy you a $2 beer, a $20 plastic accompanying girlfriend, a $200 classic car and a $2000 sound system, which is pretty much the same damn thing.

JOÃO FERREIRA

Survival is all about being “The last man standing”. But not at Stache, because standing is overrated. João Ferreira proved that is possible to stand tough even after falling, laying on the ground while drinking fine Porto Wine directly from a 4 feet high bottle. A string of wine is a string of life: two self-chest punches and the man aroused again stronger than ever!

Growing up in the boys scouts he learnt the basics survival skills and got the passion for bonfires and camping. Now in the “rust scouts”, he understood that “Man shall not live by bread alone” (Matthew 4:4) and he certainly is upgrading and making the right decisions in life.

This champ doesn’t waste time debating about the glass half full or half empty. He looks right at the bottle!

RUI TAVARES

Rui is that type of guy who always has that joyful smile, especially when octane, beer and friends are mixed.

He is a great supporter of everything that is lower, wider, faster and louder, which is easy to tell by looking at is garage, where there sits a mean BMW E36 with Kardashian rim lips and a ruthless Harley Davidson louder than Cristina Ferreira.

Representing and loving customs so much, he might consider to change is name to: Rui “Stance”Vares

DIOGO “BIG D”

Behind the shell of a giant Goliath, there’s a gentle human that was able to preserve that magical childhood innocence. Maybe that’s the secret to his mystical voice, making a lot of people to believe he is the Portuguese Rag N Bone Man, or as we say, Rust N Stache Man.

He doesn’t like to be on the spotlight, which is almost impossible when you are over 6 feet tall and as gifted as Big D.

Cultural polyglot, he is the guy you’ll need to call to answer that question about music/movies, once you’re in “Who wants to be a Millionaire”.

CARLOS CORREIA

Usually a low profile, the track is the place where he shows his true gifts. He proved to be the fastest WildRider behind the wheel of a kart.

He inherited his passion for engines and cars from his father, who couldn’t be prouder of the car collector he turned out to be. Stache takes the hats off to anybody that like him, drive the shit out of all his cars as much as possible, teaching other collectors the fearless beauty of enjoying cars for the purpose they were made: to be driven and to drive emotions inside of us.

After a stall on his ride, he kept an unwavering spirit, giving is all to the sake of the WildRide. He doesn’t talk much, but if you’re aware of him, you’ll learn a thing or two about life.

TIAGO ALMEIDA

Everyone that cross path with him can testimony this one thing: he is the best human being they ever met. Disproved of any malice, all he searches in life are two things: knowledge and pain.

In one hand, he is a rare gem that truly likes to attain wisdom, without ever grab about it. In the other hand, he is a runner freak who likes to put himself to the test on 100kms trail with unbreakable spirit, which made us all believe he could run a WildRide with his bare feet.

Tenacious and always aiming to make his family proud, he and his brother feats with their feet, fit the class of runner champions that never bend, making them known by the name “The Steel Brothers”.

JOSÉ COSTA

Peaceful mind with “keep calm” vibes, he is the kind of fella that doesn’t fret when a problem arises and never says no to give a helping hand. He has the ability to remain calm at the apocalypse, so he doesn’t glimpse when it comes to problem solving, promptly get to work.

Always looking trendy and spot on without a crease, José Costa only trades his “disco owner” dress code for Stache overalls when duty calls. He loves fashion, barbecue and good “tertulia” talks.

When the sun goes down and the wine glass goes up, the shades of a lit bonfire reveal an encyclopaedia comedian with a full repertoire of old school jokes.

PAULO AGUIAR

Truck driver for a living and rally co-pilot on part-time, he is full-time fun! Maybe he has more miles on the odometer than the sum of all WildRiders. He races on a regularly basis alongside his big brother, a passion that both inherited from their father.

Loves neon silhouettes, food, rhyme battling and humour as black as his coffee, although he’s nicknamed “fifty_shades_of_aguiar” on social media. With a peculiar kind of humour, he unlocked the ability to laugh about anything and everything, being himself the most common subject of his own jokes.

He teached us all that if you can’t laugh at yourself, you might be missing the whole scene.

DANIEL COSTA

This Alfa male is everything you expect from a leader: bold, self-confident and demanding. He doesn’t accept his comrades anything but bravos, his women anything but loyal and his bacon anything but crisp. With a car that suits is militaire personality, Daniel rides a rust proof timeless design Land Rover Defender, approved by the Queen of England and by Stache.

With patent survival skills putted to the test at the WildRide, Daniel showed to be up to the test when he grabbed a portable cooker and made a chicken rice, without chicken and without rice. Can’t currently thing about anything more badass than that!

MIGUEL “ESTRANCIO” FERREIRA

WildRide is all about connecting with sensations: feeling people, breathe nature, man and machine in perfect symmetry. Estrancio made this rule his own, having everything in balance.

Loves Guns N’ Roses, but is all roses and no guns, he’s the kind of guy you can’t imagine with an upset face and always think of others before him.

He might be a man of simple pleasures, but he doesn’t resign to play Golf. Not the classic sport, but the classic sport car, which at the current fuel prices is even more exclusive.

LEANDRO RIBEIRO

Always smiling and with a friendly vibe, he is the epitome of a good kid that inherited the passion for pop-up headlights sport cars from his father, that also comes to Stache events as often as possible.

At young age, while his school mates were excited to go see a Justin Bieber concert, the music for Leandro was different, vibrating at the sound of the pops and bangs at a car meeting.

Now, always representing at every Stache event, Leandro grew up to the high expectations, although he is still mastering the arts of “from rear to first gear”. Who needs low gears anyway!

DIOGO PAIVA

Algarve is international known for sunny beaches, good food and an incredible race circuit. Hometown to Zezé Camarinha and Diogo Paiva, Algarve its a magic balanced place where some ask for the creamless “bolas the Berlim” and others simply ask “may I put a cream?”.

With a Dog and a girlfriend, which means unauthorized to enter the beach, Diogo only sees curves at the racing track and sand at a casual offroad dunes adventure. He’s a petrol head that loves Moto GP and fully customized zombie apocalypse off road machines.

Between the Beauty and the Beast, this fella chooses both to achieve 4×4 “Beauty Beasts”.

NUNO GOMES

Always looking quiet in his corner, it’s his sneaky smile that betrays him so you don’t get him wrong by the looks of a very calm fella. Always up for a prank, he never misses the opportunity to get the full enjoyment of the moment.

A dealership is to mainstream for him, so the junkyard was where he got his Renault 4L to attend the WildRide behind a wheel. With the odds already pointing to the car getting stop & towed before the first town stop, he drove the ass off the car in destruction derby mode. Still, the machine got the best of the driver, enduring the entire journey unfaltering.

After this WildRide, Stache classifies the Renault 4L as the most suited machine to survive a zombie apocalypse.

JOSÉ “ZÉ MOUNTAINS” NUNES

Road tripping with a Stache attitude meant to look at the glass always half full, facing every challenge with a positive energy. Zé breathes this philosophy, having learnt the true gift of enjoying and appreciating everything you have, at the current stage of your life.

Being a radical sport lover, he is always ready to face a challenge/adventure, so all he needs to create timeless memories is a surf/skateboard and a stupid idea.

He played his guitar at WildRide nights like he plays the strings of his life: always outputting the most monumental solo.

YOU

Join the most outrageous road trip next summer ’22 and write your name in Stache Wall of Fame history.

The secret of true happiness is to collect moments, not things. So get the engine started, let our rust machines serve their purpose and create memories worth saving for a lifetime.

Leaving the company by it's own and taking vacations to go on the WildRide was the most unconscious thing I ever did. I'm glad I've made it!

THE PERSONAS

The people that fullfil the journey.

A WildRide is so much more than an ordinary road trip of old cars. WildRide is about heritage, passion and bonds. Heritage is the proud legacy left by ancestors, a true gift made not only of objects and memorabilia. The true value of heritage was left to discover in places and people.

This culture made Portugal a three year in a row winner of World’s Leading Destination award. How lucky and proud are we to get to uncover more miles of this beautiful country, each passing year. Getting to track down landscapes shaped by generations before us and come across people molded by the culture of this places, is truly the core value you’ll get in a WildRide.

The beauty of the endless landscapes are speechless, so we want to spend all of our words to pay a small hommage to the people we encountered by chance, but made memorable moments everyone will remember.

We kindly call them, the WildRide Personas:
